Bethesda is the community’s largest provider of emergency shelter for homeless men and women with a capacity of 100 each night.
It is the area’s only day shelter, touching hundreds of lives each year.
Bethesda is proud of its case management, which has moved almost 200 formerly homeless men and women in to their own housing over the last three years.
At 8:00 each morning, Bethesda’s day shelter opens, welcoming the homeless from throughout the community. We recognize the importance of offering a safe place where people are protected from inclement weather – the snow and freezing rain of winter as well as the oppressive heat of summer. Other services found within Bethesda’s day shelter include:
Rest rooms
- Telephones
- Showers
- Laundry facilities
- Mailing address
- Hospitality
- 12-step programs
