Bethesda Center for the Homeless

21 years of shelter and support for homeless men and women

Be an Ambassador

An Ambassador is a link between Bethesda and a church or business, keeping the needs and activities of the Center before the congregation or employees.

Serve at Bethesda in 3-D

Through 3-D, small groups brings dessert, a brief devotion or inspirational message and dialogue (prayer or time of sharing) to participating homeless men and women at Bethesda.  3-D sessions occur in the evening and require a 2-hour commitment.

The goals of 3-D are to provide:

· Evening refreshment for men and women staying at Bethesda;

· Camaraderie and community-building;

· A forum for sharing a message of hope;

· Front-line, local ministry opportunities for local churches and groups.

Coordinate a fund-raising activity:

Living Quarters is a project that helps Bethesda Center continue its mission of providing shelter and support for the homeless.  Just a few quarters can make a difference in the life of a homeless man or woman.  Living Quarters is ideal for a Sunday School class, youth group, small men’s or women’s group, civic club or ----- use your imagination!

*Coin holders and other materials are available.

Representing Peace Haven Baptist Church, Cindy Jones presents more than 40 Living Quarters folders (each holding $10.00) to Bethesda Executive Director, Mike Ryan.

Project Homecoming

You can assure a smooth transition from homelessness to housing by providing Bethesda’s clients with household “start-up” kits.
